Midlife Invitation
Helping Women Rediscover Themselves in Midlife
Root-Cause Therapy
Looking Beyond the Symptoms. Exploring the Story Beneath.
Many of us spend years trying to change how we think, feel or behave.
We promise ourselves we'll stop doubting ourselves.
We'll be more confident.
We'll stop people-pleasing.
We'll finally put ourselves first.
Yet despite our best intentions, the same patterns often return.
That's because lasting change often requires more than managing what's happening on the surface.
Sometimes it begins by understanding what lies beneath.

What Is Root-Cause Therapy?
Root-Cause Therapy (RCT) is a trauma-informed complementary modality that explores the beliefs, emotions and past experiences that may be contributing to patterns in the present.

Rather than focusing only on current behaviours or symptoms, RCT gently explores where those patterns may have originated and how they continue to influence the way we see ourselves and respond to life today.
The intention isn't to relive painful experiences.

It's to understand them with greater awareness and compassion so they no longer hold the same influence over your life.

Why I Use Root-Cause Therapy
Many women come to me saying things like...
"I know why I do it... but I still keep doing it."
"I've read all the books, but something still feels stuck."
"I understand my past, but I don't know how to move forward."
Insight is valuable.
But sometimes insight alone isn't enough.
When appropriate, Root-Cause Therapy can help us gently explore the beliefs and emotional patterns that may still be operating beneath conscious awareness.
It becomes one part of a broader coaching journey that supports self-understanding, healing and intentional change.
What a Session May Feel Like
Every coaching journey is different.
Some sessions focus on clarity, values, goal setting or navigating life transitions.
Other sessions may include Root-Cause Therapy if it aligns with your goals and you choose to explore it.
During these sessions, I'll gently guide you with questions that encourage reflection and self-discovery in a safe, supportive environment.
You are always in control.
We move at a pace that feels right for you.
There is no pressure to revisit experiences before you're ready.
Is Root-Cause Therapy Right for Everyone?
Not necessarily.

That's why I don't use it in every session or with every client.

During your Discovery Call and throughout our work together, we'll discuss your goals and decide what approach best supports you.

If Root-Cause Therapy isn't appropriate for your circumstances, we'll use other coaching tools and approaches instead.

My priority is always creating a safe, supportive experience that meets you where you are.
My Approach
I believe healing doesn't come from fixing what's broken.

It comes from understanding your story with compassion.

Root-Cause Therapy is simply one of the approaches I may integrate into our work together when it aligns with your goals and you're comfortable exploring it.

Whether we use Root-Cause Therapy or not, my intention remains the same:

To help you reconnect with yourself, build self-trust, and consciously create the next chapter of your life.

FAQ
Is Root-Cause Therapy the same as counselling or psychotherapy?
No.
I work as a certified Root-Cause Therapy Practitioner and coach.
My services are complementary coaching designed to support self-discovery, personal growth and emotional wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric care. If I believe another form of support would better meet your needs, I'll discuss that with you.
Will I have to talk about painful memories?
Only if you choose to.
We always work at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for you. The focus is never on forcing you to relive difficult experiences, but on helping you better understand the beliefs and patterns that may still be influencing your life.
Is Root-Cause Therapy hypnosis?
No.
While sessions often involve deep relaxation and focused reflection, you remain aware, present and in control throughout the process.
